After off-duty police noticed three persons at Tysons Corner Center mall who they felt may have been related to an Arlington robbery, the officer decided to prosecute a 16-year-old boy in connection with the incident.

Since then, the adolescent from Centreville has been charged with possessing a firearm and ammunition by a convicted felon, possessing a firearm by an underage person, possessing a concealed weapon, possessing a stolen firearm, and obstructing the administration of justice. All of these charges are in addition to the fact that he is accused of having stolen a firearm.

Officials did not provide any other details regarding the location of the heist, and the Fairfax County Police Department has confirmed that there were no gunshots fired on Sunday at Tysons Corner Center. Police stated on Sunday that two individuals had been brought into custody and a gun had been seized.

One person was still being sought as of Sunday night, according to police, who added that there was no current threat to the community or the mall.
