In the description, Miller said, “Seems like it’s about time to unfreeze the clones,” before predicting that the series will premiere in 2023. We’ll take it, even if it means a somewhat wider release window! After not hearing much news for several years, it’s encouraging to know that fresh series episodes are still being thawed out and not put back into the freezer.
During an interview with Collider’s Steve Weintraub in January, the creative team revealed that “some of the episodes are in animation right now,” but they were unsure of “when it would be on the air.” Lord went on to say that they were “recording voices” at the time and that because it was picked up for two seasons, the cast and crew were hard at work stitching together each episode.

Clone High, a one-season cartoon sensation, follows a group of teenage clones of well-known historical figures as they navigate high school. Clone High Season 2 Episode 1 Release Date
The series would be a crucial career high point for both Lord and Miller. They’ve collaborated on a number of major projects since then, including The Lego Movie, the 21 Jump Street film series, Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs, the Oscar-winning Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, and last year’s Apple TV+ comedy The Afterparty.
On July 2, 2020, MTV Entertainment Studios announced that the series would be resurrected with the return of the original creators, Lord, Miller, and Lawrence. HBO Max announced on February 10, 2021, that it had purchased two seasons of the revival, with a 2023 premiere date.
