While driving his pickup truck on Interstate 495 in Chelmsford, Massachusetts on New Year’s Day, Aman lost control of his vehicle, hit the guardrail, went airborne, and then crashed head-on into another car on the opposite side of the highway, killing the driver of the other vehicle and seriously injuring the passenger, according to the authorities. Aman was pronounced dead at the scene.

According to the Massachusetts State Police, the driver of the truck, a 29-year-old man from Manchester, New Hampshire, was also badly injured in the collision that occurred on the southbound portion of Interstate 495.

According to the findings of an initial inquiry, a Chevrolet Silverado was headed northward when the driver lost control of the vehicle for reasons that are still being investigated. The truck went over all lanes of traffic, collided with the railing, flew through the air, and landed in the center lane of the southbound side of the highway, where it collided head-on with a Subaru Impreza. The driver of the Subaru was seriously injured.
According to the police, the female driver of the Subaru, who was 23 years old and from Lowell, was pronounced deceased at the site. Her passenger, a woman from Lowell in her 25th year, was seriously hurt in the accident.
The truck driver was the only person present in his vehicle at any given time. According to the police, the severity of the injuries received by the truck driver and the passenger in the Subaru prompted the dispatch of a medical helicopter to the scene of the accident. Both of the patients were sent to the Lahey Clinic. On Sunday night, there was no new information regarding their conditions.
While the chopper was landing, nearly fifteen minutes of traffic on both sides of Interstate 495 was stopped. According to the Massachusetts Department of Transportation, the ramp leading from Route 4 to I-495 southbound was briefly closed for the Medflight, but it was reopened at 5:30 p.m. when the incident had been cleared up.
Initial reports from MassDOT indicated that the accident on I-495 at mile marker 88 included two automobiles, and they confirmed that a medical helicopter was dispatched to the area after receiving a report of a person suffering from significant injuries.
Several hours ago, there had been no new information regarding the severity of injuries or the number of people engaged in the incident. The name of the victim has not been made public, and the names of the two people who were taken to the hospital as a result of the collision have also not been made public by the police.
The inquiry into the terrible crash is still ongoing. It was not immediately clear whether or if the driver of the Silverado will face any charges in connection with the accident. Later that day on Sunday, there was another deadly accident in Chelmsford, which occurred when a car hit two utility poles and flipped over on Littleton Road. The driver, a 30-year-old man, was ejected from the vehicle and died at the scene.
