Forward, a new centrist party that has been slammed as an attempt to divert votes from the Democratic Party’s presidential candidates.

Former Democratic presidential candidate Andrew Yang and the former Republican governor of New Jersey Christine Todd Whitman are co-chairing a new political party aimed at appealing to voters who are disillusioned by the current two-party system.

There will be two dozen “Forward” events held across the country this fall to promote the new party’s program and attract new members. The first national convention to be held in a city yet to be named is expected to take place in Houston, Texas, on Saturday, September 24th.

As reported by Reuters, “Forward” is a mashup of three separate groups: the Renew America movement, which was formed last year and includes dozens of former GOP administration staffers; the Serve America Movement, led by ex-Republican and former Florida Representative David Jolly; and the party Yang founded after he became an independent in 2021 after leaving the Democratic Party.

With a focus on environmental protection and open space preservation, Whitman served as governor of New Jersey from 1994 to 2001. “It’s time for the Republican Party to reject Donald Trump and his “Big LIE” about the 2020 election,” she said in an interview last year.

At this point, Forward’s centrist efforts are focused on registering and balloting in at least 30 more states by the end of 2020, to have all 50 states covered by late 2024 – in time for both presidential and congressional elections.

Yang, who unsuccessfully campaigned for New York City mayor just last year, has been accused by several Democrats of collaborating with Republicans to deprive them of votes. He was one of many Democrats running for Joe Biden’s Democratic presidential candidacy in 2020.

Twitter user: “If I’m reading this correctly, Andrew Yang intends to do everything he can to take away votes because Democrats justifiably rejected him since we saw through his fascist enabling propaganda-filled temper tantrums.” Democrat voters had rightly rejected Yang. My heart goes out to him.”

“Andrew Yang is a fascist facilitator,” reads another widely circulated tweet. He is a frequent guest on Tucker Carlson’s anti-Democratic show. Aside from defaming Biden, Andrew also works to win over left-leaning voters by peddling his propaganda book. In other words, Andrew Yang is the Tulsi Gabbard of the masculine gender.

A $25 million start-up budget and a grassroots membership drawn to the query and answer: “How will we solve the big issues facing America?” are among Yang’s claims to Reuters. Not a chance. Weird thing. Forward.”

Among the positions, the party aspires to run for our school boards and city councils at the local level as well as state and federal legislatures and the presidency.
