Anthony Fantano and Dominique Boxley bought a Divorce, and other people on Reddit had Quite a bit to Say About it

Divorce rumors between Anthony Fantano and his wife Dominique Boxley have gone viral online, sparking lively discussion amongst users of various social media platforms. If this is true, the people who follow Fantano don’t seem very pleased.

However, the YouTuber has said nothing to dispel the rumours of a divorce. Before they finally tied the knot, they had been together for quite some time. Together in Connecticut was where they made their home.

At the tail end of his adolescence, Anthony Fantano adopted a vegetarian lifestyle. He recently switched to a vegan diet. He got his foot in the door at Connecticut Public Radio in 2007 and has been there ever since. The music critic’s show, The Want Drop, which he hosted 15 years ago is still on the same number.

In 2009, Fantano was an early adopter of the platform and a contributor in the same field. Getting ahead in his career was his primary concern when he started a YouTube channel in January 2009 and began reviewing episodes of The Needle Drop.

It was after penning a review of an album by American record producer Steven Ellison that he decided to start reviewing music videos. After the passage of the US Digital Millennium Copyright Act in 2010, Fantano removed earlier posts including music snippets that complied with the law.

Household Life and Relationships of Anthony Fantano

The announcement of Dominique Boxley’s marriage to Anthony Fantano catapulted her into the public eye. She has helped her husband out by appearing in a few of his viral videos on YouTube and is a legal resident of the United States.

Sometime around 2010, they tied the knot, though no one seems to know the exact date. They first started hanging out on Valentine’s Day in 2011. Before long, Anthony had told everyone he knew that Dominique was his girlfriend, and the couple eventually tied the knot in a private ceremony.

Neither Anthony nor Dominique has any children of their own. On the web since 2007, The Needle Drop is hosted by Fantano. In 2010, he got rid of the old criticisms, but he’s still working at the radio station right now. In addition, he had a job at a pizzeria.

His birthplace was Connecticut, and both his American and Sicilian ancestry may be traced back to early colonial times. He was influenced by Useless Kennedys, frontman for a radical punk band. The reality is that back in the day, he would often refer to the lead singer of the American punk music band he liked as his political hero.

Anthony Fantano and His Spouse, Dominique Boxley, Are a Couple of Years Aside in Age

Anthony Fantano is 36 years old, being entered this world on October 28, 1985. His wife Dominique hasn’t revealed her age, although she’s also probably in her 30s.

Users of Reddit’s FantanoHeads forum discussed Fantano and his divorce proceedings. Some others claim that the news of the split is nothing more than a rumour. They said Fantano didn’t deserve this treatment.

His ardent fans also pointed out that he appeared to be dealing with personal troubles, and that everyone should be allowed some degree of online anonymity regardless of how difficult their own lives may be.

Early years

Fantano’s parents emigrated to the United States, where he was born, from Sicily. His hometown was Wolcott, Connecticut, and he was a teenager there. Inquisitive about politics as a teenager, musician and former lead singer of the hardcore punk band Useless Kennedys Jello Biafra purchased Fantano. Biafra was “just about my political idol,” he said.

Profession

Beginning in the early 2000s, Fantano worked as the station’s music director for Southern Connecticut State University’s radio station.

[Fantano has been in the radio industry since 2007, when he joined Connecticut Public Radio (WNPR) as host of The Needle Drop. That same year, he began publishing his reviews under the title The Needle Drop. His first video review, of a Jay Reatard album, was posted on his YouTube channel in January 2009. Fantano has stated that the “hint” to continue filming video reviews came when he saw his review of Flying Lotus’s 2010 album Cosmogramma with other Flying Lotus videos in YouTube’s “Featured Videos” area.

When Fantano realised that some of its older reviews contained musical excerpts, it pulled them down in 2010 to comply with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act. [8] At the same time, he was working on The Needle Drop at both the campus radio station and a local pizzeria. He left WNPR in 2014 to focus solely on The Needle Drop, but he had been there since late 2011. After being offered an album review show on Adult Swim, Fantano politely declined.

Fantano began updating his second YouTube channel, titled “thatistheplan,” more frequently in November of 2016. According to Spin, on his channel he posted reviews of memes and “typically irreverent movies that don’t fall into the report evaluation style.”

According to a piece published in The Fader in October 2017, Fantano’s “thatistheplan” films were seen as promoting alt-right ideas. As a result, there was much discussion and inquiry into this secondary channel. Pepe the Frog memes have been labelled “alt-right emblems,” and Fantano was attacked for using them in an attempt at satire of feminists. Several “The Needle Drop” concert dates in the United States were postponed after the publication of the article. An item explaining the cancellation of a Brooklyn show was mentioned on at least one ticketing website.

When confronted with the negative article, which Fantano called a “hit job,” he decided to respond by making a video. He said the alt-right was not his thing and that the offensive flicks were just for laughs. As soon as either party announced that the claims had been settled, The Fader removed the article. Fantano said in a later interview that the “thatistheplan” channel has had its fair share of “grumpy, closed-minded, younger, aggressive male” viewers. As a result of the experience, he has become more outspoken in his support for social justice issues, and he has rejected what he calls the “poisonous and destructive” side of internet humour.

With a million followers and a slew of new features like weekly “observe roundup” movies, livestreamed Q&As, and video concept pieces, Fantano was a force to be reckoned with in 2017.

Fantano appeared in a cameo role in Lil Nas X’s video for the Younger Thug and Mason Ramsey remix of “Previous City Street” in June of this year. To paraphrase the “Storm Space 51” cliche, he was a safety guard at the Space 51 naval outpost.

In the fall of the same year, he organised a benefit album titled The Needle Drop LP. ‘Artists who have been featured on the positioning or reviewed well in the past’ are represented musically. The proceeds from album sales were donated to the non-profit Immigrant Legal Resource Center.

Reception

During the 2011 O Music Awards, The Needle Drop was honoured with the “Past the weblog” prize. “Fantano doesn’t employ fancy jargon to convey a riff or synth tone,” Nick Veronin of Wired wrote of Fantano in 2014. He doesn’t say much, but makes up for it with hand motions like clenching his fists and funny faces. It puts into words some of the more ephemeral things about music that can’t be put into words.

When asked how he felt about the standard of Fantano’s reviews in 2019, renowned music critic Robert Christgau said:

YouTube video

seems to have figured out how to write intelligent, twenty-first-century rock criticism that favours a style I’ll call “darkish prog.”

Not nearly as indifferent to hip hop and R&B as dark proggers, but be warned that only a few of female artists made it into his top 10, which in 2018 was seriously lacking the action. Fantano seems to have figured out how to make a living in the digital age by publishing his own criticism online.

Comic In his 2019 book Excellent Sound, James Acaster cited Fantano’s 2016 list of the greatest albums. And “maybe more than anybody else, he knows how the role of the reviewer has changed since the internet became a thing,” despite “”an true music fan’s High 50.” In the past, it was the responsibility of reviewers to advise consumers on purchases they would not regret. Now it’s up to them to let people know what’s worth their attention.

An article by New York Times culture reporter Joe Coscarelli from September 2020 called Fantano “perhaps the preferred music reviewer still living.” According to Coscarelli, Fantano has successfully breathed fresh life into record evaluations by bringing a “old craft to a new media” for today’s music fans.

Life At Residence

Fantano currently dwells there.

Following some time as a vegetarian in his late teens, he eventually transitioned to a vegan diet.

Fantio told Polygon in March of 2018 that he is a “free speech purist.” In response to student demonstrations after Milo Yiannopoulos’s talk at UC Berkeley, Fantano said, “Sarcastically, Antifa makes use of violence and immature techniques to gain what they need.” “The same tactic a fascist would use.” To run for president of the United States in 2020, Fantano supported Bernie Sanders.
