For the last two seasons of “Chief of Staff,” Lee Dae-il, a famous South Korean author, wrote about Jang Tae-Joon, a young man who was once a promising detective, but instead decided to join the National Assembly as an aide in order to gain more power and recognition in the society. After serving four terms in Congress, as the head of his boss’ staff, Jang demonstrated an uncanny combination of intuition and intelligence that earned him a position on the party’s roster of party representatives. As the series progressed, Jang got to know Kang Seon-Yeong, a rookie lawmaker elected via proportional prosecuted representation (PPR).

Now, we discovered that Jang and Kang shared a similar level of drive and talent, and that they eventually fell in love. As a result, they began dating secretly even as the pressures of their professional lives intensified. As a result, we can assume that if the show is renewed for a third season, the story will pick up where it left off in the second season, with Jang continuing to navigate the repulsive world of politics.
