Nigerian singer, Davido’s fiancee, Chioma Rowland, has broken her silence on the reported split allegations with Davido. Rumors of their break-up were further fuelled by images of Davido and his claimed new lover, Mya, locking lips which leaked online a few days back.
Reacting, Chef Chioma, who hesitated to address the speculations regarding her relationship with Davido has finally opened up. According to the mother of one, what used to work does not work anymore. In what might be termed an open letter to Satan, Chioma wrote;
The media has circulated rumors that Chioma Rowland, the fiancee of famed artist Davido, was the victim of domestic violence, although Rowland has denied these claims. Although she prefers to keep a low profile online, Chioma recently urged her female followers to never remain silent while being physically assaulted by a male partner.
She expressed her confusion over the origin of reports of domestic violence in an Instagram post, telling her followers not to worry because nothing of the sort has ever happened to her. Chioma is devastated by Davido’s new newborn boy with his London-based secret lover, Lassila
To paraphrase a famous person: “I know you guys simply love to propagate all sorts of rumors and stories for your enjoyment, and I’ve understood from Day 1 what to expect from blogs and the internet, especially with myself and my family being in the public space.
I’ve never been one to get into online fights or pay much attention to social media, so I’ve never publicly addressed any bloggers or rumormongers. However, the accounts of domestic abuse between myself and David have disturbed me to the point where I feel compelled to speak up.
Abuse and violence inside a household are NEVER OKAY. No one has ever been abused in my family’s home. There is no history of physical violence between us; he has never touched me, and I have never pushed him.
Especially when commenting on matters about which we have no knowledge whatsoever, I think it’s important for us to have a healthy respect for God’s majesty in light of all we peddle as human beings, offline or online.
