Authorities in the state of Sinaloa stated on Thursday that a community in northern Mexico that is renowned for drug gang activity erupted in violence overnight, with gunfire ringing out and street blockades going up. Videos that were posted on social media showed roads in the city of Culiacan being blocked by burning vehicles.
