(WITN) – Goldsboro, North Carolina After a shooting at the Riddle and Brantley law practice in Goldsboro, the local police indicate that two individuals have died as a result of the incident, including the shooter. It was approximately 4:14 p.m. when officers responded to a complaint of a shooting at the law office located at 601 N. Spence Ave., according to the police.
As soon as the police arrived, they discovered two individuals inside the company who had been killed by what appeared to be gunshot wounds. Officers were told that one of the individuals who had recently passed away was the shooter.
The shop was secured by the officers, and they did not find any other victims inside. James Creamer, who works as a cashier at a Shell gas station, claimed that he saw the entire shooting incident, which took place directly across the street from his place of employment.
“When they came I was pretty startled at what was going on, but I knew it was something serious since they stepped out of their cars and already had their weapons out,” Creamer said. “When they came I was extremely surprised at what was going on.” They simply walked over there with their weapons exposed and everything else in place.

Create added that he believed the incident shouldn’t have taken place and expressed this sentiment. Creamer was quoted as saying, “I just have this feeling that some things might have been avoided, things could have been prevented, and maybe they could have talked it over.” “I have no idea what was going on inside, and I have no clue how he managed to bring his gun inside. Perhaps they could benefit from increased levels of security.
At the site, there were additional law enforcement officers from the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office and state troopers from the North Carolina State Highway Patrol who aided. The Investigative Services Bureau of the Goldsboro Police Department was called and sent to the location where the incident took place.
The investigation is still in its early stages, and the identity of the people who have passed away is being withheld in the interim until family members are notified. WITN is sending a reporter to the location, and we will provide updates as more information becomes available.
