Demon Slayer Season 3 Release Date

Let’s start with the discouraging news. Demon Slayer’s first and second seasons aired over a two-and-a-half-year span, and the third season is likely to follow suit.

The third season of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Swordsmith Village has yet to be announced, but we expect it to arrive in the fall of 2023.

Fortunately, the official Demon Slayer Twitter account released the first teaser image for the third season in February 2022 and announced that the show was in development.

Demon Slayer Season 3 Cast

The third season of Demon Slayer has yet to air, but we can assume that the actors from seasons one and two will return. Mist Hashira, Muichiro Tokito, and the Love Hashira, Matsuri Kanroji, were introduced in episode 21 of season one and will be the two main additions to the cast.

All of Demon Slayer’s main characters have been given Japanese and English voice actors, as follows:

• Tanjiro Kamado – Natsuki Hanae / Zach Aguilar (English)
• Nezuko Kamado – Akari Kitô / Abby Trott (English)
• Inosuke Hashibira – Yoshitsugu Matsuoka / Bryce Papenbrook (English)
• Zenitsu Agatsuma – Hiro Shimono / Aleks Le (English)
• Muzan Kibutsuji – Toshihiko Seki / Greg Chun (English)
• Kagaya Ubuyashiki – Toshiyuki Morikawa / Matthew Mercer (English)
• Water Hashira, Giyu Tomioka – Takahiro Sakurai / Johnny Yong Bosch (English)
• Love Hashira, Matsuri Kanroji – Kana Hanazawa / Kira Buckland (English)

• Flower Hashira, Kanae Kocho – Ai Kayano / Bridget Hoffman (English)
• Tsuguko Kanao Tsuyuri – Reina Ueda / Brianna Knickerbocker (English)

Koyoharu Google, director Haruo Sotozaki and character designer Akira Matsushima are among those returning to the production team.

Demon Slayer Season 3 Plot

The ninth arc of the original manga, the Swordsmith Village arc, will be the centerpiece of season three.

Since the manga ended in 2020, anime viewers have a unique opportunity to discover (approximately) what the future holds for Tanjiro and the rest of their crew.

So, here we go: spoilers!

After the events of the Entertainment District arc, in which Tanjiro and Sound Hashira Tengen Uzui slew the demon siblings Gyutaro and Daki, the Swordsmith Village storyline begins.

Tanjiro’s demon-slaying sword was the lone permanent fatality of this epic combat.

Tanjiro will travel to the Swordsmith Village in Demon Slayer season three to have his blade mended by Hotaru Haganezuka.

Tanjiro and his companions will, of course, be confronted by hordes of demons while they are there (including an Upper-Rank Six that splits themselves across multiple bodies). This thread will be taken care of thanks to Mist Hashira (MUICHIRO TOKITA).
