Dj Steve Aoki and K-pop Artist Top Will Travel to the Moon with a Japanese Billionaire Using SpaceX
South Korean rapper T.O.P and DJ Steve Aoki are two of the eight musicians and performers who will travel with Japanese businessman Yusaku Maezawa on a private SpaceX mission around the moon as early as next year, according to a statement released on Friday.
Every seat on the trip, the first of its sort by the Elon Musk-owned company, has been purchased by Maezawa, a 47-year-old businessman also known as MZ. This comes after Maezawa’s 12-day journey to the International Space Station last year aboard a Russian Soyuz spacecraft.
In addition to T.O.P, also known as Choi Seung Hyun, a former member of the K-pop group Big Bang, and Aoki, a Japanese-American artist, the dear moon Project’s roster also includes American space YouTuber Tim Dodd and Indian actor Dev Joshi.

U.S. Kaitlyn Farrington, an Olympic snowboarder, and Miyu, a dancer from Japan, will serve as backup crew for the journey, which has been planned for years. In a video that was uploaded to his YouTube page, Maezawa said, “I hope each and everyone will grasp the responsibility that comes with leaving the Earth, traveling to the moon, and back.” They will benefit greatly from this experience, and my wish is that they would use it to benefit the world and humanity.
