Due to Illness, Lincoln County Schools Will Once More Be Closed

Due to illness, Lincoln County Schools (LCS) closed last Friday, and on Tuesday they stated they will close once more. The school district stated on Facebook that LCS’s current absentee rates were close to or higher than those from the previous week. $50,000 is given to Kids to Love to assist with placing foster children in Alabama.

Due to this, LCS will be closed on Thursday, November 3, 2022, and the scheduled in-service day on Friday, November 4, 2022, has also been canceled, according to Director of Schools Dr. Bill Heath.

All events, including games and practices, were postponed until Monday morning. Heath clarifies that owing to TSSAA forfeiting regulations, the football team from Lincoln County High School is not included in this as they are scheduled to start state playoff play this week.

The Harvest Festivals at the schools, which were supposed to take place this weekend, also had to be postponed by LCS. As of the time of writing, each school had a distinct date. To make sure you receive the proper date, check with school representatives or the LCS Facebook page.
