Yes. Disney+ announced on Twitter on September 13 that High School Musical: The Musical: The Series had been officially renewed for a third season. ‘Wildcats’ is returning for a third season on Disney+.

When does HSMTMTS season 3 come out?

On July 23, 2022, Disney+ will premiere High School Musical: The Musical: The Series season 3. Corbin Bleu is joining Season 3 of #HSMTMTS, streaming on July 27 on #DisneyPlus, according to the official HSMTMTS Instagram account, which revealed the announcement on May 21.

It was announced by Olivia Rodrigo in a TIME profile that filming would begin in January 2022. Like the prior two seasons, new episodes will most likely stream every week on Disney+.

Who Will be in the HSMTMTS Season 3 Cast?

Season 3 of High School Musical: The Musical: The Series will feature all our favorite characters from the second season. It’s expected that Ricky, E.J., Sofia Wylie, Larry Sapperstein, Julia Lester, Ashlyn, Dara Renée, Frankie Rodriguez, and Joe Serafini will all reprise their roles in the new season.

Those who fear that Olivia Rodrigo’s new career as a singer will prevent Nini from making an appearance in season 3 need not worry. As Olivia revealed to The Guardian in May of 2021, she is now “committed to HSM for two more years,” and as reported by TIME, she will be back for season 3. Her role as a central character has been reduced, though.

East High’s favorite teachers, Mark St Cyr (Mr. Benjamin Mazzara) and Kate Reinders (Miss Jenn) will be back for more HSMTMTS fun. As for the returning cast members from Season 2, they include Lilian (Olivia Rose Keegan), Howie (Roman Banks), and Zach (Derek Hough).

Even if Nini doesn’t return, Jordan Fisher (Jamie) will likely have a larger role in season 3.

Camp Shallow Lake, a Camp Rock-style summer camp, will be the setting for the new characters. Adrian Lyles will portray Jet, the enigmatic newcomer to Camp Shallow Lake. Meg Donnelly will portray Val, a confident counselor-in-training, and Saylor Bell will portray Maddox, a quick-witted techie.

The director of Camp Shallow Lake, Dewey Wood, will be played by Jason Earles from Hannah Montana, while Corbin Bleu, who played Chad in the original films, will reprise his role as the character himself.

What Will the Musical in HSMTMTS Season 3 be?

Frozen will be the music featured in season three of The High School Musical: The Series. The season will take place in the fictional Camp Shallow Lake, as previously mentioned. East High students are charged with putting on a Frozen-themed show.

There will also be songs from Camp Rock and the High School Musical films in general, in line with the spirit of the camp As with seasons one and two, this one will also feature original music.

Tim Federle, the showrunner of HSMTMS, told Hollywood Life in the past: “Because there are so many options, picking a show’s music may be difficult. If you want to go all out, you can make a new musical or do a sequel to High School Musical 3.”

What Will happen in HSMTMS Season 3?

It’s been revealed that East High will no longer participate in the Alan Menken Awards for High School Musical theatre in season 3, and we can expect to see our East High favourites head to Camp Shallow Lake for a Camp Rock-style summer in High School Musical: The Musical: The Series season 4.

Tim Federle, showrunner of HSMTMTS, revealed to Hollywood Life what we may expect in season 3: “Streaming TV allows you to resume watching where you left off, and that appeals to me because it is so logical. However, I’m hoping to obtain a green light so that I may come up with some new concepts for season 3.”

Ricky and Nini are no longer together, Gina and E.J. are together, Big Red and Ashlyn are no longer together, and Kourtney and Howie no longer exist, but that might all change in a new season of the show’s romantic subplots.

Season 3 may see Ricky and Lily beginning a relationship. Nini and Gina’s brother Jamie are also likely to collaborate on original songs. Nini may not show up to Camp Shallow Lake if this is taken into consideration. Meanwhile, it appears that Gina and E.J. have finally resolved their differences.

We should also find out if Mr Mazarra rejects his new job offer and starts seeing Miss Jenn somewhere in the storyline.

What Songs will be in the HSMTMTS Season 3 Soundtrack?

We haven’t gotten to the bottom of it yet. However, knowing that Frozen is the theme of the third season of High School Musical: The Musical: The Series and that songs from Camp Rock and the other High School Musical films will be included, we can expect plenty of bops. You may also include ‘Let It Go, This Is Me,’ and ‘Fabulous.’

As with the first two seasons, there will be some new original music included.
