Erin Andrews Tells Husband Jarret Stoll ‘see You in February’ as NFL Season Kicks Off

Erin Andrews, a veteran Fox Sports reporter, said goodbye to her husband, Jarret Stoll, before returning to the sidelines in Week 1 of the NFL season on Sunday. Andrews came to Instagram last week to share a selfie of herself and Stoll, a former pro hockey player, on the beach in Punta Mita.

The “Calm Down” podcast presenter married Stoll in June 2017 after he proposed in December 2016 at Disneyland. Stoll spent 15 seasons in the NHL with the Edmonton Oilers, Los Angeles Kings, New York Rangers, and Minnesota Wild. In 2012 and 2014, he won two Stanley Cups with the Los Angeles Kings.

Before Andrews’ demanding NFL schedule began, the pair took some R&R at the Four Seasons Resort, where they lounged in a private pool and sipped drinks. Andrews will begin the 2022-23 NFL season with Fox Sports on Sunday when he will cover the Packers-Vikings game alongside Kevin Burkhardt and Greg Olsen.

After her longtime colleagues, Joe Buck and Troy Aikman, left the network for ESPN this summer, Andrews “quietly” re-signed with Fox on a three-year contract. Andrew Marchand of The Washington Post originally reported in February that Aikman was about to quit Fox Sports.

“I decided enough with the headlines for a bit,” Andrews remarked in a June episode of the SI Media Podcast. “My contract expired in August.” Fox approached me almost immediately and just stated, ‘We want to retain you here.’ I had no idea who I was going to play the games with at the time.”

Andrews will ultimately play games with Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady when the seven-time Super Bowl champion retires for good. Andrews left ESPN in 2012 to join Fox Sports. When Brady decides to formally retire, he will shift to the broadcast booth as Fox Sports’ primary NFL commentator. In May, he agreed to a 10-year, $375 million contract with Fox, as originally reported by The Washington Post.

On June 24, 2017, Jarret Stoll married sports writer and former “Dancing With the Stars” co-host, Erin Andrews. According to Harper’s Bazaar, Stoll requested one of his pals to set him up with Andrews in 2012, but she seemed uninterested. According to YourTango, the pal was none other than Michael Strahan. Andrews was focused on her profession at the moment, covering the World Series, and wasn’t interested in going on a date.

Stoll decided to take matters into his own hands after hearing this. He arrived at the World Series, slipped past security, and approached Andrews to ask her out in person. She agreed to meet him for dinner, and the two hit it off. Stoll proposed four years later, on a trip to Walt Disney World. According to People magazine, the couple married a few months later, on Stoll’s birthday, during a sunset wedding in Montana with the mountains as their background.
