As shown in the first photographs for Michael Mann’s upcoming film Ferrari, actor Adam Racer will be bringing another Italian accent to the big screen as he turns into the famed racing car driver Enzo Ferrari. The film is directed by Michael Mann.
The events of the film, which are based on the book Enzo Ferrari — The Man and the Machine by Brock Yates, take place in the summer of 1957, when Enzo, who was then in his late 50s, competed in the Mille Miglia race. An official synopsis of the movie states that Ferrari, a former racing car driver, is currently through a difficult time. “The business that he and his wife, Laura, started from scratch ten years ago is in danger of failing due to financial difficulties.
Their stormy marriage is struggling to cope with the loss of one son while simultaneously acknowledging the birth of another child. He makes the decision to try and make up for his losses by betting everything on one race, the illustrious Mille Miglia, which is 1,000 kilometers long and takes place throughout Italy.”
Following playing fashion magnate Maurizio Gucci in Ridley Scott’s House of Gucci, Adam Driver is shown transitioning into the elegant silver daddy while wearing another exquisite black suit. This comes after Driver’s performance in the film.
The first day of principal filming for “Ferrari,” a biopic about the Italian automobile manufacturer starring Adam Driver and directed by Michael Mann, took place on Wednesday in Italy. The movie is currently targeting a release date of the autumn of 2023.
