Is Robert Irvine Sick?
The famous chef and host of Restaurant: Impossible, Robert Irvine, is undoubtedly healthy. He hasn’t offered most people any advice for improving his status. However, in a Twitter conversation with a fan in July 2021, he admitted that he had contracted COVID-19.
According to the facts presented, Irvine’s situation required intervention beyond the quiet time at home. After being diagnosed with COVID-19, Irvine informed his followers that he planned to spend the next six days in the hospital. On August 5, Irvine spoke with FOX Business about his two-day hospitalization in March due to food poisoning.
Robert Irvine Early Life
Irvine was raised in the English county of Wiltshire after being born in England. When he enlisted in the Royal Navy of the United Kingdom at the age of fifteen, he began his career as a cook. After finishing his apprenticeship in the kitchen, Robert worked on the Royal Yacht Britannia for the Queen.
After serving for 10 years, Irvine became a consultant in Bali, Jakarta, and Ho Chi Minh City before becoming the Executive Chef of several cruise ships and restaurants, including Trump’s Taj Mahal and the five-star MS Crystal Harmony.

Robert Irvine Career
To kick off his television career, Irvine hosted a Food Network show called Fit for a King, which was eventually renamed to Dinner: Impossible and featured several challenges during its run. In addition, Irvine and Tyler Florence competed as the men’s team versus Paula Deen and Cat Cora in a dessert duel (theme ingredient: sugar) on an episode of Iron Chef America from December 2007.
Irvine had planned to open two eateries in St. Petersburg, Florida back in 2006. Irvine claimed in the opening segment of his Food Network show, Dinner: Impossible, and to a Florida socialite that he was a Knight Commander of the Royal Victorian Order had a degree in food and nutrition from the University of Leeds and had worked on the wedding cake for Prince Charles and Princess Diana.
Some of Irvine’s claims were contested by sources cited in a story published in the St. Petersburg Times on February 17, 2008. As a result, Irvine’s biography was removed from Food Network’s website. They are “taking the appropriate procedures to assure the accuracy of all portrayals of Robert,” according to network spokesperson Lisa De Colle.

Carol, originally from Wednesbury, UK, was Irvine’s first wife. In 1989, when he and Carol tied the knot, he opened a catering company. They eventually got a divorce, and he ended up in America. Irvine has been a resident of Hilton Head Island, South Carolina, since at least 2002. He and his second wife, Karen, formerly made their home in Absecon, New Jersey.
