At the age of 38, Jay Briscoe, who was considered to be one of the best tag team wrestlers of all time, passed away. Briscoe, whose real name was Jamin Pugh, was killed in an automobile accident on Tuesday in Laurel, Delaware at approximately 5:30 p.m.
The accident took place on a Tuesday. According to a story that was published by the Shore News Beacon, the collision resulted in the deaths of two persons, and two further individuals were sent to the hospital in serious condition. The identities of the other individuals involved have not been made public at this time.
Tony Khan, the owner of AEW and ROH, has stated that Briscoe has passed away. “Jay and his brother Mark were unstoppable in ROH, and they continue to hold the titles even today. We are going to help out his family in every way that we can. Jamin, may you finally rest in peace. Briscoe built his notoriety in professional wrestling while teaming up with his brother Mark in ROH.
Briscoe began his in-ring career when he was a teenager and began wrestling in ROH. The Briscoes were able to win the ROH Tag Team Titles a total of 13 times during the course of their more than 20 years of service to the company.
After defeating FTR in what was largely regarded as one of the best bouts of 2022, they had just recently won the belts at ROH Final Battle, which took place a month prior. It was the final game in a series of three that had been played between the teams throughout the previous year.
