Anthony Rapp, another actor, has filed sexual assault charges against Kevin Spacey, and now Kevin Spacey facing sexual assault charges, he is scheduled to appear in a US court. The 63-year-old actor “categorically refuted” the allegations, claiming he “did not possess any sexual interest or desire in Mr. Rapp at the time or since.” The claimed encounter took place in 1986.
In the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York, presided over by Judge Lewis A. Kaplan, jury selection will begin on Thursday. Since Mr. Rapp made the allegations in October 2017, Mr. Spacey has been living in exile from Hollywood. Mr. Rapp said he was 14 years old in 1986 when he was the target of an “unwanted sexual advance” at a party. According to documents obtained by the PA news agency, Mr. Spacey shocked Mr. Rapp by allegedly scooping him up and placing him on a bed during the party. According to the documents, during the brief meeting, Mr. Spacey pushed his weight onto Mr. Rapp until the actor “wriggled out.” Spacey claims he never had any intention of “degrading or abusing” Rapp in any of their conversations.

The Hollywood actor previously stated, “I completely refute plaintiff Anthony Rapp’s accusation that I sexually attacked him or otherwise made a sexual advance on him.” Mr. Spacey “strenuously” denied other allegations of sexual assault stretching back 17 years when he appeared in a British court less than three months before his trial began. At a July 14 hearing at London’s Old Bailey, he denied five charges against three men in their 30s and 40s. It is claimed that the incidents occurred in London and Gloucestershire while Mr. Spacey was serving as creative director of The Old Vic from 2005 to 2013.
