An ASP and two other policemen were kidnapped while investigating the killing of five women in the Ndon Owong community in the Odukpani Local Government Area of Cross River State on suspicion of witchcraft.

In Calabar on Tuesday, Cross River Police Spokesperson SP Irene Ugbo revealed that the officers had been rescued the previous day by the Anti Cultism and Kidnapping Squad (ACKS) of the Command, commanded by SP Awodi Abdulhameed.
