On Wednesday night, the Los Angeles Lakers prevailed 112-109 over the Miami Heat, although LeBron James was unable to play due to a non-COVID sickness. James, who is feeling under the weather with what Coach Darvin Ham described as a typical cold, was ordered by the Lakers to stay at home and “get fluids, get meds, and feel well,” according to what Coach Darvin Ham stated before the game.
L.A. Austin Reaves, Juan Toscano-Anderson, Thomas Bryant, Patrick Beverley, and Dennis Schroder were the players that were brought into the game against the Heat. James is going to have to put an end to his red-hot play as of late.
The 20-year veteran is coming off of three straight games in which he scored at least 40 points since he turned 38 years old, making him the only player to do so at that age since Michael Jordan. James has led the Lakers to a 6-5 record over the course of the past 11 games, averaging 34.5 points on 58.2% shooting from the field.

Eight of those games have been played without Anthony Davis, who is sidelined with an injury to his right foot that includes a fractured bone spur and a stress reaction. According to the Lakers, Lonnie Walker IV will also be unable to play for a third consecutive game as a result of a bruised tailbone.
L.A. Tuesday marked the day that they got home after playing away for five games. After playing at home against the Heat on Wednesday and the Atlanta Hawks on Friday, the Lakers will travel to Sacramento on Saturday and Denver on Monday for the final two games of their current four-game road trip.
