According to the findings of the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner, the reason for YSL rapper Lil Keed’s death was eosinophilia. Keed passed away in May at the age of 24, and his cause of death was revealed after his passing.

He was eventually taken to the hospital one evening owing to the terrible discomfort, and it was reported that his liver and kidney began to fail. He also had a seizure on the way to the hospital, which further complicated his condition. A few hours later, the aspiring rap artist passed away.

According to People, the words “he had been unwell in bed for four days with complaints of stomach and back problems” may be seen in the coroner’s report. “His brother saw that the decedent’s eyes were yellow, so he drove him to the hospital in a private vehicle,” the sentence reads.

The rapper, who was born in Atlanta, was one of seven children and was the brother of another rapper named LilGotit. LilGotit took to Instagram after the news of Keed’s passing in the spring.

Gotit wrote in a post that he “can’t believe I saw u die today bro I did all my sobs I know what u want me to do and that’s gone hard for Mama Daddy Our Brothers Naychur and Whiteboy,” which was accompanied by a picture of the three brothers and sisters.

The family of Keed has not yet made a statement on the alleged cause of death in a public forum. In 2018, Keed inked a recording contract with Young Thug’s YSL, an imprint of 300 Entertainment. The record label was responsible for the release of two projects by the rapper, including his single “Nameless,” which reached its highest position on the R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay chart at number 42.

Long Live Mexico, Keed’s critically lauded debut album that was released in 2019, debuted at position No. 26 on the Billboard 200. He was also included on the album Slime Language 2 by Young Thug, which debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 chart in 2021.

The month of May 2022 was a difficult one for the YSL crew, as Young Thug and rapper Gunna was taken into custody only a few days before Keed passed away. Keed was not one of the individuals cited in the indictment against the others.
