Canadian actor Michael Kopsa, known for his roles in television’s The X-Files and Smallville, has died at the age of 66.

Ex-wife Lucia Frangione broke the news on Instagram, writing, “The wonderful Michael Kopsa passed away Oct 23 2022 of a brain tumor. He was a great father to Nora and an amazing performer, voice actor, musician, carpenter, and painter. Dear friend and co-parent, I shall miss you terribly.

Among his 224 acting credits are the parts of Rick Culver on The X-Files with David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson, and of Ben Grimm in the Fantastic Four film starring Chris Evans, Ioan Gruffudd, and Jessica Alba. Kopsa was also a carpenter, singer, and painter.
