NASCAR Driver Kyle Busch’s Wife Samantha Shares a’ Classic’ Family Photo With a Giant Lobster!

Even though Kyle Busch of NASCAR won the 2015 Loudon Lobster trophy, Samantha, his wife, just remembers the stink of the celebrations.

While carrying her 7-year-old son Brexton in her arms, 36-year-old Samantha tweeted last week, “A classic,” a throwback photo of Kyle triumphantly holding his trophy at the New Hampshire Motor Speedway.

After Kyle’s victory in the 5-Hour Energy 301, this picture was shot. If you win, you’ll get your hands on a lobster that’s typically 18 to 22 pounds in weight.

A local favorite, Makris Lobster & Steak House, conducted a weeks-long campaign to find the biggest lobster to present the winning driver, according to NBC Sports.

The shell is maintained (stuffed and painted) in its “pre-cooked condition” by a taxidermist, while the meat is cooked and eaten by the winners. Some people opt to hang the lobster from the ceiling or a wall.

Even though Samantha was happy for her husband, the stench and size of the crustacean — not to mention its proximity to baby Brexton — made her cringe.

She didn’t know the lobster was alive, Samantha admitted to TODAY Parents. “It had a foul odor and huge claws. And of course, it was captured by the camera.”

Her final words: “You can see how enormous it is compared to his head since I turned Brexton away from the lobster.”

Kyle told NBC Sports that the Bushes asked for the lobster to be returned to the water, and that “we’re not sure” if that was the lobster’s final destination.

For laughs, Samantha periodically shares the photo.

Lennix Key, the couple’s first child, was born in May after several miscarriages and several rounds of in vitro fertilization (IVF). Her book “Fighting Infertility,” due out in 2021, chronicled their pregnancy and subsequent infertility odyssey.

They had a surrogate deliver their daughter in May. A big brother is waiting for our small little peanut at home, who can’t wait to meet her!” Samantha posted a message to her Instagram account.

While Brexton is seven years older than his parents, he still has the same excitement.

Samantha told TODAY Parents, “He’s a helper and he’s hands-on.” “He is smitten with her and longs to cuddle up with her. As a big brother, he has become more self-reliant.”
