Birkan Sokullu is the commander of Emperor Constantine XI’s ground army, Giovanni Giustiniani Longo. Among the actor’s significant works are ‘Hayat Sarkisi’ and ‘Immortals.’ Selim Bayraktar of ‘Succession’ fame plays Ottoman grand vizier and Halil Paşa; and Osman Sonant of ‘Pandora’s Box’ fame plays Loukas Notaras, the last chief minister while commander-in-chief of the Byzantine empire.
Tolga Tekin (‘Butterflies’) plays Sultan Murad II, Sultan Mehmed II’s father, while Ushan Akr (‘Leyla and Mecnun’ renown) plays Zaganos Paşa, the Ottoman military leader with the highest rank. Damla Sönmez (‘Bornova Bornova’) plays Ana, Tansu Biçer (‘Bes Sehir’) plays Orban, and Layda Akdoan (‘My Brother, My Love’) plays Therma Sphrant.
