Their pals remembered the pub where it all began when Robert Kraft and Dana Blumberg tied the knot last week. And so are the bar’s proprietors raising glasses to them. Celebrity guests included New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft’s pals Elton John and Tom Brady, and the happy couple commemorated the occasion with some heartfelt Instagram pictures throughout the weekend.
Fishel, a model, published a photo comparing Kraft and Blumberg on their “first date” in 2017 and “the day after their wedding day” on Instagram Stories.
According to Rubin, the tavern in Lenox, Massachusetts, where the couple went on their first date, has been (temporarily) renamed “Blumberg’s.” Signs proclaiming “Blumberg’s” have replaced those for “Olde Heritage Tavern,” and pictures of Robert and Dana beside the words “congrats, Robert and Dana” have been posted throughout the pub.
Rubin said, “This is the pub they had their first date, so had it renamed ‘BLUMBERG’S.'” “My little bro Robert Kraft got married last night!!! And even though Dana Blumberg is now Dana Kraft, Robert will still be a Blumberg in my eyes!! Congratulations, Mr. and Mrs. Blumberg! Tomorrow, celebrate Dana and Robert with us at the @oldeheritagetavern for an open bar on the house! (P.S. thanks, Alan, for the fantastic concept, and Des, for making it happen in a day!)
Brady, Kraft’s former superstar quarterback who went to the wedding alone with old colleagues, responded to Rubin’s post with the words “All in the name of fun” and a witty laughing emoji. The bar posted an Instagram update on the name change, congratulating the “power couple” on their marriage and said their guests had “graciously” paid for everyone’s meal on Sunday. In recognition of Robert and Dana’s first date five years ago at The Heritage, the bar has temporarily changed its name to “Blumbergs” for the remainder of the week. “The Heritage family and we wish them the absolute best; we are celebrating their marriage and tomorrow’s @patriots game with them, and Robert’s close friends are kindly footing the bill for the entire day.”
Since Kraft had invited people to a “Kickoff and a Touchdown” celebration but hadn’t mentioned the wedding, everyone was caught off guard. NFL analyst Al Michaels announced the Hall des Lumières in New York City, where Meek Mill and Ed Sheeran performed a song for the couple that Meek said was entirely improvised. A source told Attendees that “most people didn’t realize it was a wedding party.” When we got upstairs, we thought it was a celebration, but instead, Robert and Dana appeared on a screen, she in a wedding gown, and Elton John pronounced them “husband and wife.”
