Early Life
As of September 3, 1986, Shaun Roger White was born in the San Diego suburb of La Jolla. Parents Roger and Cathy, brother Jesse, and sister Kari raised him. Shaun had two open-heart surgeries as a child after being born with Tetralogy of Fallot, a congenital heart defect. To keep up with his older brother, he began snowboarding at a young age. The Whites spent a lot of time at Bear Mountain and Okemo Mountain together. After meeting skateboarding legend Tony Hawk at a San Diego skatepark at the age of nine, Shaun began winning snowboarding competitions and excelling at skateboarding.
Career
White became a professional snowboarder and skateboarder when he was just 13 and 17 years old, respectively. When White won the U.S. Open Snowboarding Championships at the age of 16, he became the youngest athlete to do so in the history of the sport. With roles in “Friends with Benefits” (2011) and “Stretch” (2014), as well as in the Disney Channel film “Cloud 9,” White has a successful career in show business (2014).
