John Bolis directed the travel documentary Somebody Feed Phil. In his role as documentary host, Philip Rosenthal (from ‘Everybody Loves Raymond’ fame) is well-known. Somebody feed Phil premiered on 12 January 2018 on Netflix. To date, there have been four seasons and twenty-two episodes in total of the show. Season 2 was released on 6 July 2018, season 3 was released after a while on 29 May 2020. And finally, season 4 was released on 30 October 2020.
Throughout the series, we see Phil visit various cities around the world and sample the local cuisine.

Because of the show’s success, a fifth season was a foregone conclusion. Fans and foodies were overjoyed when an unofficial announcement of a fifth season appeared on social media. Philip Rosenthal, the show’s executive producer, has confirmed that filming for the fifth season, as well as a possible sixth season if the network is ready to move forward, is officially complete. The exact release date for season 5 has yet to be confirmed.

Somebody Feed Phil Season 5 Story
Season 5 will have the same outline as the previous season, with Phil traveling and trying out different cuisines, while also following social distancing protocols. We may learn more about his diet plans after he mentioned on social media that he was trying new ones to improve his health.
Somebody Feed Phil Season 4 Recap
The show follows Phil as he travels to various cities and explores the authentic and cultural cuisines of the particular place. Hew travels with his filming crew which also includes his brother Richard and usually meets up with people he knows in the particular city so they can have a meal that he would have otherwise missed. Season 4 starts with Phil in Rio de Janeiro, a city in brazil with views of mountains all around. Here, he tries various tropical fruits, tapioca pancakes, and cheesy hot pockets on the streets. A traditional fermented sugar cane drink and bean stew with rice await Phil and two of his friends at a restaurant where the day will come to a close with a stunning view of the sunset. A visit to San Francisco’s famed Tartine Bakery and some delectable-looking desserts like chocolate croissants, bread pudding with strawberries, and eclairs are the focus of episode number two. He walks down the streets admiring the murals and on the way, grabs a bite to snack on at the popular Dynamo Donut shop. After that, Phil eats a torta, a sandwich stuffed with a variety of ingredients. In the next episode, we make a big jump and follow Phil in Singapore. His meal includes dishes like braised duck and rice, soft rice cakes, and a meeting with a judge from Master Chef Singapore. This episode’s airport and surrounding architecture are stunning.
He caps off the night with a cruise along the canal, admiring the city’s dazzling lights from the water. In episode 4, we catch up o Phil as he travels along the Mississippi delta to explore the flavourful southern cuisines. A special coat and permission to participate in the “duck march” are accorded to him when he is first introduced at Boston’s venerable Peabody Hotel. It’s not uncommon for him to visit several local eateries and sample their sauce-covered barbecues, bologna sandwiches, and cornish hen. He’ll even help judge an appetizer competition for men. In the finale, Phil gets a first-hand experience of authentic Poke, which is an authentic seafood dish in Hawaii. When he’s in Honolulu, he meets a group of rowers who take him out rowing and then takes him to a famous hotdog joint where they order everything on the menu. Phil also goes to the well-known ‘pipeline’ wave location, which draws surfers from all over the world, and enjoys a tasty meal with them while there.
