In the United Kingdom, a BBC One crime drama called Taboo has been airing since 2004. Scott Free London and Hardy Son & Bakers are the producers of this picture. On January 7, 2017, BBC One aired this television drama, which was later released in the United States on FX on January 10, 2017.
The series was created by Steven Knight, Tom Hardy, and Chips Hardy, Tom’s father. It was based on a storey that Tom and Chips Hardy wrote. James Delaney (Tom Hardy) returns to England with fourteen stolen diamonds after spending twelve years in Africa after his father’s death and as the military battle draws to a close. It examines Victorian London’s underworld, which includes criminals, working-class poverty, and the rise of the wealthy.
Anders Engström and Kristoffer Nyholm each directed four episodes in the first season. Max Richter wrote the music for the film. Hardy’s performance, visual portrayal, and pacing have all been acclaimed by the series’ critics.
It was written by Tom and Chips Hardy and based on a storey they told Steven Knight and Tom Hardy. Locke and Peaky Blinders, both of which came out in 2013, reunited Knight and Hardy on-screen. Taboo Season 2 Release Date
In the wake of Peaky Blinders, Steven Knights has produced a new television series that is only growing in popularity. Season 2 is in high demand, just like season 1. Taboo was renewed for a second season in March 2017 shortly after the conclusion of the first season, since Steven Knights had planned two more seasons. Despite the fact that the show has been renewed, there has been no additional word on its status. Taboo’s production was halted when it was renewed for a second season, and no fresh information was released until today. There has been a report that the show’s production has been restarted, however there has been no official confirmation of this.
As there has been no official update, there is no official release date, however we are guessing that it will be released around around mid-2024.

Taboo Season 1 Recap
During the course of his independent investigation into the East India Company, George Chichester discovers that in order to hide the ship’s true identity, the name of the slave ship was changed from “Cornwallis” to “Influence.” He also learns that the ship was recorded as being empty when it set sail on its fatal journey. Delaney learns from Brace that his mother tried to drown him as a child and was committed to the Bedlam mental institute, but that his father saved his life. After Zilpha murders Thorne, Delaney has Dumbarton take his body, which is buried in a Catholic funeral.
Farmers Ibbotson and Delaney’s gunpowder factory are discovered after Ibbotson confesses to the local Catholic priest. After murdering Ibbotson by severing his tongue, Delaney places the priest’s body in the chapel for him to find in shock. Delaney gets his gunpowder by barge and transports it to his ship before the Company’s troops can seize it.. a representative of the firm, Benjamin Wilton, meets Delaney on the pier and presents a letter from Sir Stuart declaring war on the company As a result, Delaney’s spacecraft goes up in flames and burns for quite some time.
Delaney answers by murdering and severing the heart of the man who was supposed to be protecting the ship. When he becomes drunk, he looks like he’s about to drown. In the Thames, Winter hands him another bottle, and he rethinks his decision. The next morning, he wakes up in the muck and finds Winter’s body nearby.
