According to a news release issued by the Austin Police Department, Brayden Bolyard, 17, was pronounced dead at the site of the shooting that took place at the lounge on Saturday night.
According to the police, the other four victims who were shot were sent to local hospitals. In a press release, the police stated that they have located a person of interest in connection with the shooting and that the suspect “had prior history with one of the victims.”

According to the police, the suspect fled the site after the incident took place. In a statement released on Monday, the school district in Jarrell, which is located approximately 65 kilometers (40 miles) north of Austin, expressed that the district was “deeply grieved by the loss of one of our kids.”
The Jarrell Independent School District issued a statement in which it referred to the deceased individual as “a talented student and athlete who left an indelible mark on our district.” The school system announced that counselors would be available to provide assistance to the staff as well as the pupils. The school district reported that another pupil from the school was still being treated in a hospital.
