The Blacklist’s twist-filled screenplay, fast-paced direction, and stellar acting have kept it going strong since its 2013 debut, so NBC’s renewal isn’t surprising. How about the next chapter? All about The Blacklist season 10.
The Blacklist Season 10 Release Date: When Will Episodes Air?
The Blacklist season 10 premieres on Sunday, February 26, 2023, at 8/7c on NBC. Fans rejoice! The show’s Friday-to-Sunday switch may attract more viewers. It’s a more traditional time for a show like this, but it’ll have more like-for-like competition from CBS’s NCIS: Los Angeles and The Equalizer.
Whether the movie succeeds or not, a Blacklist movie could happen. “That concept of the windowing mixed with the reality that streamers really want movies, movies are driving platforms, has, in my judgment, made the movie business economically stronger,” NBC CEO Jeff Shell said (via The Express).
“[NBCU] makes twice as many movies as our nearest competitors, and we’re buying all that content and transferring it into Peacock to develop the streaming service.” Even if this Sunday night experiment ends The Blacklist, a movie might continue the story on NBC and Peacock.

The Blacklist Season 10 Cast: Who’s In It?
After the spectacular season-nine finale, viewers can only ponder about who will return for season ten. Of course, its star/executive producer James Spader will return as criminal mastermind-turned-supergrass analyst Raymond “Red” Reddington.
We also expect Donald Ressler, Harold Cooper, and Dembe Zuma to return. Amir Arison, who played FBI Special Agent Aram Mojtabai in the show’s first season, and Laura Sohn, who played FBI agent Alina Park in season six, will not return (via Deadline).
Arison reportedly left to make his Broadway debut in The Kite Runner, an opportunity he “could not pass up”. Sohn is leaving for unknown tasks. In a lengthy tweet, Arison said, “The Blacklist has transformed my life — I have made lifelong friends, learned so much along the road, and have met numerous beautiful individuals from all over the world who love the program.”
“It is not lost on me how happy I am to have worked and evolved with a character for nine years with this amazing cast, crew, and so many dedicated artists.” Arison’s character’s exit story is that he is leaving the FBI and going to Brooklyn, leaving the door open for him to return in the future. The conclusion even hinted at his next project by mentioning he might watch a Broadway show in New York.
Season 10 will introduce a new character. Episodes will introduce Siya Malik (Anya Banerjee). Her past connections may delight fans of the show since season one. Her mother, Meera Malik (Parminder Nagra), was tragically assassinated (via NBC).
Michael Bonini (New Amsterdam) captioned an Instagram image with “Philly’s Finest,” suggesting he’ll appear in season 10. (via Express). The season nine conclusion provided fans with a solid sense of season 10’s premise, even if it’s still a secret. At the season’s end, Red’s advisor Marvin Gerard (Fisher Stevens) was revealed to have killed his beloved Elizabeth (Megan Boone).

After being revealed and dying, he left one last gift to Red’s detriment. In prison, Marvin told Wujing (Chin Han), one of the initial Blacklisters from season one, that he was caught because Red and the FBI were working together and gave him a list of others Red helped put away.
