”Over a year prior to the show’s conclusion, Desus and I discussed pursuing separate interests, and that talk reinforced us in signing general agreements that recognized our intent to work independently of one another,” Mero added. “We were pitching or looking to join existing projects as individuals as early as June of last year.”
He also stated that there will be no hatred between the two in the future as they seek distinct chances. “The intention was to go our separate ways in a supportive manner,” he explained. “I’m not breaking up with my girlfriend over the phone.” It was a strategy on which we all agreed.”
