‘Vanitas no Karte,’ or ‘The Case Study of Vanitas,’ is a supernatural fantasy anime based on Jun Mochizuki’s (‘Pandora Hearts’) manga series of the same name. The drama is set in 19th century Paris and follows Noé Archivist, a crimson moon vampire on the hunt for the cursed grimoire known as the Book of Vanitas.
According to mythology, a vampire named Vanitas had to undergo years of unjustified derision and persecution by his own kind after being born under a blue moon.
He constructed the famous Book of Vanitas to wreak retribution after being devastated by the horrible mistreatment. Noé now seeks to track down the same book, and his search is cut short when he is rescued by a guy named Vanitas, who claims to have inherited both the name and the text from the blue moon vampire himself.
After that, the two go on an epic quest to rid the blood-sucking beasts of a horrible curse. The anime began airing on July 3, 2021, and it quickly gained a large global fan base. Lovers and journalists alike praised the intriguing premise, and despite the show’s disappointing above-average numbers, anime fans are anxious to hear more about the upcoming season. If you’re wondering when it’ll be available, we’ve got you covered!

Vanitas no Karte Season 2 Plot: What is it About?
While on a date with Jeanne in the season 1 finale, Vanitas entirely forgets that Noé is alone. He thinks he has been duped when he hears she came to meet him after obtaining Lord Ruthven’s approval. However, when he arrives at the hotel, he discovers Noé sleeping soundly without a care in the world. Unfortunately, the self-proclaimed vampire healer is unaware that Ruthven has already used his dark powers to compel his companion to carry out one of his commands, regardless of when he is asked.
While the hapless protagonist is conversing with Noé, Dante appears out of nowhere with some surprising news. La Bete, the Beast of Gevaudan, is not only alive, but has been spotted once more.

The gigantic wolf first emerged in Auvergne and Gevaudan in the 18th century, usually attacking women and children. Vanitas and his vampire companion ride a train to Gevaudan after realizing they can find the terrifying beast there.
Season 2 will see the self-proclaimed vampire healer on the hunt for the man-eating wolf. Because one of the ideas about them suggests that they are vampires who have been cursed, Vanitas will investigate the accusations and discover the truth.
Meanwhile, because the vampire of the crimson moon is under Ruthven’s demonic power, his friendship with Noé will most likely be put to the test. If the post-credit scene from the season 1 finale is any indication of what’s to come, viewers will finally realize what Charlatan’s true aims are.
