The FBI Has Identified the Person Responsible for an Alleged Broad Threat to Synagogues

The FBI claimed it has identified the person responsible for the threat against synagogues in New Jersey, which was made a day after it issued an unsettling warning. As of Thursday afternoon, the FBI’s Newark branch had received “reliable information of a broad threat to synagogues in NJ,” according to a tweet it posted.

Although more information was withheld, the public was urged to “take all security procedures to protect your neighborhood and facility.” Occasionally, violent violence against Jews has been motivated by antisemitic beliefs and conspiracies, with several of the attacks occurring at synagogues. An online hater of Jews murdered 11 people at a Pittsburgh synagogue in October 2018.

A lady was fatally shot at a synagogue in Poway, California, by a guy who had praised the Pittsburgh shooter in an online tirade less than a year earlier. Additionally, in recent weeks, antisemitism has gained popularity on social media as a result of some of the most well-known figures in the nation spreading unsettling ideas and conspiracies.

The FBI announced on Friday that it had “identified the source of the threat,” who “no longer constitutes a concern to the community,” just hours before the start of Shabbat, the Jewish holy day. The FBI added in a statement, “As usual, we would like to advise the public to remain vigilant and to report any suspicious activity to law enforcement immediately.”

If the person is in jail or what it means when someone “no longer poses a danger to the community,” the FBI’s Newark office declined to respond to BuzzFeed News in an email. The person’s identity has not been made public.

Oprah claimed she would choose John Fetterman over her protégé in the election. Dr. Oz is Running For Senate In Pennsylvania. The FBI also declined to confirm if the person had been detained, according to the New York Times, on a conference call with hundreds of Jewish leaders and law enforcement officers on Friday morning.

The person has been identified as a male who resides in New Jersey, according to James E. Dennehy, special agent in charge of the FBI’s Newark office. Although it is assumed that he acted alone, investigators are apparently still investigating the incident and trying to determine who else he may have spoken to.

Dennehy claimed that the man had “expressed radical, extremist beliefs and philosophy, as well as an extraordinary amount of hatred against the Jewish community.” It “doesn’t appear there are others who constitute a threat to Jewish synagogues affiliated,” according to Dennehy, who also claimed that the individual “no longer poses a threat to the community at this time.”

The rapper, whose real name is now Ye, was roundly criticized for his comments, which fed into long-standing myths that Jews control the news, the economy, the government, and even the weather. He was dropped by a number of companies, including Balenciaga and Adidas.
