Tichina Arnold Divorce

Legally speaking, Tichina Arnold is free to mingle again as TMZ has learned that the lengthy and contentious divorce process she has been going through has finally been finalized. Documents obtained by TMZ purport to show that on July 15, a court granted Tichina divorce from Rico Hines, her husband of more than two decades and a veteran basketball coach.

It has, without a doubt, been a very protracted wait. After making the allegation that there was a sex tape of Rico engaging in sexual activity with another lady in 2016, the “Martin” star made the public announcement that she would be divorcing Rico, as we have reported.

A representative for Hines, who is presently employed by the Toronto Raptors, declined to comment specifically on the claims but noted that the couple was dealing with a “private and highly personal situation” during that time. Hines is currently employed by the Toronto Raptors.

But it wasn’t until August of last year that she eventually went ahead and filed the papers — that’s right, more than 5 years after she first intended to do so. She mentioned the typical irreconcilable problems on the papers, however, she did state the date of separation as January 12, 2016; which was around 3.5 years after they tied the married.

It appears that everything has been resolved. China and Rico were married for around three and a half years, they did not have any children together, and both of them relinquished their rights to collect spousal support if their marriage ended in divorce. The legal documents state that each party will be allowed to keep their own wardrobe, jewelry, and bank accounts. Onward and upward.

Arnold had to search for quite some time before she was able to find love again, but in 2002, she began dating a music producer named Carvin Haggins. This was the year that she finally succeeded. In 2004, the two doting parents gave birth to a girl named Alijah Kai Haggins. But in 2007, they went their own ways, and Arnold has been raising their daughter all by herself since then.

Arnold was successful in his search for love once more, and this time he found it in the arms of basketball coach Rico Hines. The wedding took place on August 18 in Honolulu, Hawaii, where the pair exchanged their vows. Alijah, who was just eight years old at the time, was one of the seventy guests that attended the wedding.
