What Happened to Rich Campbell

Following the publication of a sexual assault claim against Rich Campbell on Twitter, he has resigned from his position as the head of the content creation organization known as One True King (OTK). Yesterday, streamer Azalia Lexi wrote on Twitter stating that he assaulted her, and this morning, she elaborated on that claim with a Twitlonger statement that offered details about an alleged event that occurred in December of the previous year. Since then, Lexi has set her Twitter account to private mode.

Early this afternoon, Campbell provided a response to the charges by stating that OTK had requested that he quit and that he had agreed to do so. In addition to Asmongold, Mizkif, Esfand, and Tips Out, Campbell was one of the original members of the group.

Campbell did not provide a direct response to the charges that have been made against him, nor did he offer an apology; rather, he stated that he will issue a reply after he has had some time to process Lexi’s statement. “I have read the statements made against me today,” he stated. “I have nothing else to say.” I will tell you what happened from my perspective, but I need some time to organize my thoughts before… I will make an update soon.”

In a statement of its own about the matter, OTK explained that Campbell’s resignation is “effective immediately” and that the statement was sent in response to the circumstance. OTK issued a statement in which it said that it is “dedicated to upholding its core principles” and that it takes a “strong stand” against sexual harassment and violence.

We would like to express our gratitude to our community for their unwavering support and acknowledge that we share your sense of loss. Campbell is now located in Europe, working as a part of the Race to World First coverage that was commissioned by the World of Warcraft guild Echo.

This morning he worked his first shift at the Erup Lounge in Bern, which is located in Switzerland. Following the allegations, the organization has not made any statements regarding whether or not Campbell will continue to be a part of any of its coverage; nonetheless, one would think that they will remove him from the rotation of casters.
