Pivoting Season 2 Story
Assuming the show is renewed, Season 2 will continue where Season 1 left off. We’ll find out if the team was successful in recovering Colleen’s ashes. The next season will also have Amy taking on a new position that she hasn’t yet decided whether or not to accept. Jodie’s marriage, on the other hand, seems to be on the verge of disintegrating, but we can only speculate. To see if Jodie divorces or maintains her affair, Season 2 might look into it more.
Pivoting Season 1 Recap
Amy, Jodie, and Sarah are the three main characters in the series. As a medical worker, Sarah prefers to take a break and enjoy herself rather than get completely engaged in her profession. A morning food show producer, Amy seems more at ease with her work than with her family. Jodie is a dissatisfied mother, most of all because she is unhappy in her marriage. At the funeral of their friend Colleen, the three friends realize that life is precious and that they should make the most of it. The three of them then make a sequence of choices that will cause their lives to “pivot” or alter course. Amy resolves to put her time and energy into becoming a mother and raising her kids. Sarah quits her job as a nurse and ends herself working as a bagger at a grocery shop after stumbling into contented employees there. In her marital strife, Jodie finds herself developing affection for her younger trainer.
This season’s second and third episodes see these women dealing with the consequences of their decisions, and they learn some important truths. A diligent worker in an atmosphere where slacking off is acceptable is difficult for Jodie, Amy, and Sarah, but they all persevere in their efforts to impress their trainers. Things begin to improve, however, at some point. The moment Amy learns that Luke isn’t getting along with his classmates at school or that he has been using profane language, she begins to exhibit her maternal instincts. Sarah resolves to re-enter the dating scene, even though she still feels socially awkward with her coworkers.
After sharing some prescription medications with Luke’s teacher in episode 8 when Sarah and Jodie discover and get inquisitive about the revenue potential of an adult site in episode 9, Amy finds herself in a quandary. They are at a crossroads in their lives at the end of the season and must make significant decisions. They decide to put everything on hold to honor Colleen’s birthday by scattering her ashes during a girls’ night out with the girls. Not everything goes according to plan.
