He discovered that Light was the primary suspect after more research. After he graduated from high school, he formed an FBI Task Force and hired Light as a member. While all was going on, Rem sent another death note to actress and model Misa. She discloses Light’s true identity as an original Kira in order to win him over as a boyfriend. L claims to be the second Kira, and Rem threatens to murder her if she gets hurt. Rem handed up the execution note to Kyosuke Higuchi, who was less concerned with his own morals. He is apprehended by L and Light, who have figured out who he is. After L’s death, Near is shown to be the new L in the series, which spans four years and a three-year break.
