Chris Cuomo is a $12 million American television journalist. CNN canceled Cuomo Prime Time in December 2021, and he is best known for that role as the show’s former host. Cuomo is Andrew Cuomo’s brother and Mario Cuomo’s son, both former governors of New York. As a result of allegations that he used his position and CNN resources to investigate women who had accused his brother of sexual harassment, Chris was fired from CNN on December 5, 2021. Despite being CNN’s highest-rated prime time news show when he was fired, Cuomo Prime Time wasn’t nearly as popular as other prime time cable news shows.

Maria Cuomo Cole, his sister, runs Cuomo Cole Productions, which specializes in documentaries with a social conscience. She is also married to fashion designer Kenneth Cole. A doctor, Margaret, is his other sister. Cuomo’s ancestry is Italian. Chris’s maternal and paternal grandparents were from Sicily and Italy, respectively. The Albany Academy, a private preparatory school in Albany, New York, was Chris’s alma mater. He earned a bachelor’s degree from Yale University and a J.D. from Fordham University, both in New York City. Since 1995, he has been able to call himself an attorney.
Chris Cuomo’s annual salary is STILL 6 million a year. I haven’t seen anywhere he’s been suspended without pay. He has an estimated net worth of 12 million. Poor Chris. Pretty good pay for spreading hate. He’s on paid vacation. THAT’S IT

Career
Cuomo made appearances on CNBC, CNN, and MSNBC as a journalist in his early years. His job was to cover controversial social issues as a correspondent for Fox Files on Fox News. A political policy analyst for Fox News, Cuomo has also worked in the field. For ABC’s 20/20, he covered the heroin epidemic plaguing American suburbs for a year. Cuomo was ABC News’s top law and justice reporter. As a journalist, he covered the Haiti earthquake, bullying, and the plight of homeless youth. Several other industries have also been affected by his reporting, including the for-profit school recruiting industry. More than 150,000 automobiles were recalled as a result of a tip from Cuomo to a BMW owner.
He served as the anchor of Good Morning America from September 2006 to December 2009. In this position, he was the primary source for breaking news around the world. Embedded in Pakistan, Iraq, and Afghanistan on multiple occasions, he reported on the fight against terrorism. His convoy was hit by an IED while on one of these missions. Cuomo returned to the United States to report on the shootings at Virginia Tech, Fort Hood, and the Amish School in Pennsylvania. Covered also the Sago Mine collapse, which occurred in 2007, and Hurricane Katrina, which struck in 2005.
In February 2013, Cuomo joined CNN as a co-host of the morning show. On February 8, 2013, he made his CNN debut as a field anchor on Piers Morgan Tonight. At the time of the announcement, he was co-anchoring the morning show New Day, which he did until March of 2018.
CNN launched a new documentary series called Inside with Chris Cuomo in October 2017. On the show, “real people, in real towns and cities across America” are the focus.
“Let’s Get After It” was launched on SiriusXM’s P.O.T.U.S. channel in September 2018 as a two-hour weekly radio show hosted by him.
Cuomo has been nominated for numerous Emmys. With his Good Morning America feature on 12-year-old poet Mattie Stepanek, Cuomo became one of the network’s youngest ever News & Documentary Emmy Award winners. Many Emmy nominations have been made for Cuomo’s reporting on hurricanes Irma, Harvey, and Maria, as well as his interviews with Las Vegas massacre survivors, among other stories. In addition to the Edward R. Murrow, Polk, and Peabody Awards, he also holds the Edward R. Murrow Award.
Personal Life
Cristina Greeven, a former editor of Gotham Magazine, is Chris’ wife. In 2001, they got married. Bella Cuomo, Carolina Regina Cuomo, and Mario Cuomo are the three children they have together.
In 1997, People magazine listed Cuomo as one of the “50 Sexiest People” in the world.
He heckled a bar patron on Shelter Island, New York, on August 13, 2019, after the man called him Fredo, a reference to the fictional character from The Godfather novel and films. Cuomo threatened to throw him down the stairs and yelled profane insults at him. For Italian-Americans, Cuomo said, using the name “Fredo” was like using “the n-word.”
Cuomo spoke to his brother, New York Governor Andrew Cuomo, about the coronavirus outbreak on CNN in March 2020. Coronavirus outbreak response in New York was discussed by Andrew, who suggested a curfew for residents to keep them inside. “The word “curfew” irritates me. I was never able to overcome my resentment of my father’s efforts to impose a curfew on me “Andrew said. Chris’s response was, “What?” “The curfew was just the beginning of your problems. Just in case.” After a brief exchange of words, Chris said, “It’s time.” “…no matter how busy you are, there is always time to call your mother… If you can help her, please do so. Just in case.”
