Noella reveals at the season’s outset that James has another nickname, “Sweet James.” His professional bio describes him as “an ex-Mormon from Utah” and a partner at Sweet James. He’s a personal injury attorney in Newport Beach, California.
According to the company’s website, “Mr. Bergener is a member of the Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forum, one of the most prominent groups of trial lawyers in the United States.” Noella tells the group that he is known for developing true relationships with the people he represents in court, which has earned him the nickname “Sweet James.”

Noella and James Have Only Been Married for a Year.
Us Weekly reports that the couple tied the knot in June of 2020. In August, both of them initiated divorce proceedings independently. In legal papers, Noella claimed that the couple had “irreconcilable disputes.”
Us Weekly reports that Noella has asked for sole custody of their son, James Jr., 2, and wants James to have just visitation rights. She sought the court to prevent her from having to pay James anything, including spousal support, and he agreed to do so.
On the Show, Noella Revealed That Financial Problems Caused Tension in Her Marriage.
Noella tells her co-star Shannon Beador that she and James had money problems because of their Puerto Rican home.
According to People, she has said, “I cannot wait to just be done with it.” She adds, “Unfortunately, there were certain financial problems that were not disclosed to me from my husband and it’s related to this house.” “It’s a major source of tension in my life and in our marriage at the moment. The absence of trust makes everything more challenging.”
She also reveals that James owes the government millions of dollars in back taxes. It was a big surprise to her to learn that her husband owed taxes, as she explains on RHOC. “At first, there was only one lien for $4,000,000. Ten days later, I learned that it was actually two liens and that the total was closer to $6 million.”
Noella later confides in her coworker Gina Kirschenheiter that she had suggested James sell the Puerto Rico house in an effort to pay off his mounting debts. She explains, “He was genuinely fighting me on that, and now, a complete breakdown in communication.” “The worst part is that he is my closest buddy.”

Now, Noella Says James is Trying to ‘torture’ Her by Dragging Out the Divorce.
The Real Housewives of Orange County actress is opening up about her arduous separation from her husband Mario. “There’s a lot in divorce that’s about power and micromanaging and kind of wanting to punish the ex,” she told Page Six. “You can see traces of that operating here,” they said.
