What is Aaron Rodgers’ Net Worth and Salary?
An American professional football player, Aaron Rodgers, stands to make 200 million dollars. With the Green Bay Packers as his team, he serves as the starting quarterback. He made $90 million in salary and endorsements between June 2018 and June 2019. A contract extension with the Packers was signed in March 2022 that will pay Aaron $50 million per year for four years with a guaranteed $153 million compensation.
Early Life
On December 2, 1983, Aaron Charles Rodgers was born in Chico, California. Rodgers is the son of Darla Leigh (nee Pittman) and Edward Wesley (nee Rogers). After living in Ukiah, California, and Beaverton, Oregon, for a while, the family eventually returned to Chico in 1997. At Pleasant Valley High School, he was the starting quarterback for the first two years of his playing career.
When he finished high school in 2002, he continued his education by playing football at Butte Community College, where he graduated in 2003. He believes his lack of interest in Division I programs was due to his physical stature, which he considered to be rather unimpressive at the time. He was able to transfer to the University of California, Berkeley, after just one year of junior college because of his impressive performance at Butte Community College, where he threw 26 touchdowns and led the team to a 10-1 record.

College Career
Rodgers took over as the starting quarterback for the Golden Bears in the fifth game of the 2003 season (University of California, Berkeley). At Cal, he set several school records, including the Cal career record for interceptions at 1.95 percent. After a stellar junior season in which he threw 24 touchdowns and only eight interceptions, he decided to forgo his senior season to enter the 2005 NFL Draft.
Professional Career
Rodgers expected to be selected by the San Francisco 49ers, the team he grew up rooting for, but after they selected Utah quarterback Alex Smith, the Green Bay Packers selected him with the 24th overall pick. He was Brett Favre’s backup during his rookie season in the NFL, a role he held until 2007. He got very little actual playing time during this time.
Favre announced his retirement in 2008, and so Rodgers was promoted to the starting quarterback position. Despite Favre’s return from retirement, he was traded to the New York Jets by the New York Giants. In his first season as a starter, he threw for more than 4,000 yards and 28 touchdowns, with just 13 interceptions. When the Packers won the 2011 Super Bowl, he was an integral part of their success. The MVP award was given to him because of his pivotal role in helping his team win the championship.

Rodgers went on to maintain a position as one of the top performers in professional football, despite not yet having been able to achieve a second Super Bowl win. This year, he set two new records for most consecutive games without an interception (41 straight) and the lowest regular-season interception percentage among current quarterbacks. For the record, he is one of only seven quarterbacks to throw for over 1,000 yards in the playoffs, and he is among only five quarterbacks in the NFL to have a passer rating of at least 110 over multiple seasons.
Aaron received a lot of flak in 2021 after it was discovered that he had lied about his status as having received a COVID vaccination. When reporters confronted him about his drug test results, he made the admission. Rodgers then reaffirmed his anti-vaccine stance, spouting a slew of easily debunked myths and theories about vaccination.
Business Ventures and Other Work
In the past, Milwaukee Brewers player Ryan Braun and Packers star Aaron Rodgers shared the name of a local restaurant. Despite this, Braun’s PED scandal forced the eatery to close its doors. Rodgers holds the distinction of being the first active NFL player to own stock in an NBA organization. The Milwaukee Bucks announced him as a new limited partner in April 2018 and he officially became one of the team’s owners that month.
Rodgers has also appeared in numerous commercials over the years, including those for State Farm Insurance and Pizza Hut, as well as numerous campaigns in his home state of Wisconsin. According to Forbes, Rodgers’ $2-3 million endorsement deal with State Farm is “one of the richest endorsement deals in the NFL.” Adizero, Prevea Healthcare, and Bergstrom Automotive are among the other brands he endorses. In the second season of the sketch comedy show “Key & Peele,” he appeared with Packers teammate Ha Ha Clinton-Dix and several other NFL players.
Personal Life
For the majority of his life, Rodgers lived in Suamico, a suburb north of Green Bay, Wisconsin. He lives in Los Angeles, California, during the offseason. In addition, he owns a house in Del Mar, Calif. From 2014 to 2017, he was romantically linked to actress Olivia Munn, and from 2018 to July 2020, he was linked to NASCAR driver Danica Patrick.
Aaron’s engagement to Shailene Woodley, an actress, was announced in early 2021.
Contracts and Salaries
The Packers and Rodgers signed a five-year, $110 million contract extension in 2013, making him the NFL’s highest-paid player.
For $134 million over four years, Rodgers committed to the Packers in 2018. Bonuses and guaranteed cash flow will bring the total value of the deal up to $180 million. About $103 million of his contract was guaranteed, with $80 million of that amount due by March 2019. Rodgers was to be paid $400,000 PER DAY from August 2018 through March 2019. However, Brett Favre earned $135 million in his entire professional career (on the field).
It was announced on March 8, 2022, that Aaron had signed a new 4-year $200 million contract extension with the Packers, which includes $153 million in guaranteed money.
Career Earnings
Aaron Rodgers earned $263 million in NFL salary alone through the 2021-2022 season, a point at which many thought he was retiring. His NFL career earnings will total $463 million if he plays out his four-year contract, which he signed in March 2022. Aaron will be the first NFL player to earn more than $400 million in his career as a result of the agreement (from salary alone).
Aaron’s endorsements have brought in at least $100 million in additional revenue.
Aaron Rodgers earned a total of $360 million between salary and endorsements during his entire career through 2022. By the time he completes his current NFL contract, he will have earned an estimated $600 million in total earnings, including endorsements.
It is worth noting that Brett Favre’s net worth is estimated at $200 million.
