The New York Mets were his favorite baseball team.
For his freshman year, Rodriguez attended Christopher Columbus High School in Miami. Shortstop on the baseball team and quarterback on the football team, he transferred to Westminster Christian School. He had a batting average. of 419 and a stolen base total of 90 in 100 games played in high school. Career
In February of 1994, Rodriguez arrived at spring training for the first time in his professional career. On July 8, 1994, he made his professional debut as a starting shortstop. In baseball history, Alex was only the third 18-year-old shortstop. Before joining the Texas Rangers in 2000, Alex Rodriguez played for the Seattle Mariners, where he set numerous records and rose to the status of the team’s star player. From 2001 to 2003, Rodriguez was a member of the New York Rangers. Even though the Rangers finished last in the AL Western Division during this time, he set numerous personal records. Although his team finished in last place, A-Rod was named the league’s most valuable player.
Because Derek Jeter was already the team’s full-time shortstop, Rodriguez was traded to the Yankees and shifted to third base. In 2005 and 2007, Rodriguez won the American League MVP award while playing for the New York Yankees. In 2007, he became the youngest player in MLB history to hit 500 home runs. After being implicated in the scandal in August 2013, he was suspended by MLB for 211 games, but he was allowed to play while the punishment was under appeal.
