Her name is Mary Jane Blige, and she was born on the 11th of January 1971 in the Bronx, New York. The Schlobohm Housing Projects in Yonkers were her family’s home from the time she was seven years old until they moved back to Savannah, Georgia. Blige has had a successful acting career in addition to her successful music career. On the sitcom “The Jamie Foxx Show” in 1998, she played a preacher’s daughter, followed by a lead role in the film “Prison Song” in 2001.
