Early Life
Honolulu, Hawaii was the birthplace of Barack Hussein Obama II on August 4, 1961. He is the only President of the United States to have been born outside of the 48 contiguous states. “
A native of the UK, Ann Dunham was also a descendant of German and Swiss ancestry.
