Randall Shump (former senior attorney for the Internal Revenue Service), Catherine Ross (archivist), Gerard Sullivan (operations manager), Emma Baxter (animal researcher), and Alex Wellerstein (atomic weapons historian) are among those who make cameo appearances. Other notable characters include Moussa Abderamane (geologist) and Vincent Thurkettle (gold prospector) (dust specialist).
Christopher Gill, Jeremy Leach, Rick Smith, Peter Alton, and Omar Mullick collaborated on the season 1 cinematography, which was completed by a group of talented individuals. Kishi Bashi is credited with creating the music for all six episodes.
