19-year-old Male Injured in Shooting at Regal Cinema Suspect at Large
Hazle Township, located in Luzerne County, is home to On Saturday, January 14th, about 8:15 o’clock in the evening, troopers from the Pennsylvania State Police Hazleton were sent to the Regal Cinema located at 400 Laurel Mall Drive in Hazle Township, Luzerne County, in response to a report of “shots being fired.”
It was revealed through the course of the investigation that a male of the same age who was 19 years old was struck by a gunshot in the arcade or lobby area of the movie theatre. The suspect then made his escape from the theatre and the surrounding neighborhood.

The male victim, who was 19 years old, was taken to Lehigh Valley Hazleton to be treated for his injuries after he was carried there. This was an isolated occurrence in which the Victim was specifically targeted, despite the fact that the shooting took place in a public setting where other persons were put at immediate risk.
Calling the Pennsylvania State Police in Hazleton at (570) 459-3890 is advised for anyone who may have any information relevant to the inquiry. The investigation into this case is still being carried out by the Troop N Major Case Team.
