‘Boy Meets World’ Star Ben Savage Files to Run for Congress Potentially Filling Rep. Adam Schiff’s Seat
Ben Savage, an actor, has reportedly submitted paperwork to the Federal Election Commission in order to explore the possibility of running for Congress in order to succeed Democratic Representative Adam Schiff of California.
According to the paperwork that was submitted on Wednesday, Savage, a Democrat, intends to run for the House of Representatives seat representing California’s 30th District in the election that will take place in 2024. The position is presently held by Schiff, who is widely anticipated to run for the Senate in order to succeed Dianne Feinstein as a member of the United States Senate.

This is not the first time the actor from “Boy Meets World” has attempted to get elected to public office. Savage made an unsuccessful bid for a seat on the West Hollywood City Council in the election that took place in 2022.
On his campaign website, he described his goals as community safety, supporting and promoting local companies, fighting “to defend the rights of renters,” and bringing down the cost of new housing. Other priorities included bringing down the cost of new housing.
Savage attended Stanford University for his education in political science. During his time as a student, he worked as an intern for the late Senator Arlen Specter of Pennsylvania. West Hollywood and Burbank are both located inside California’s 30th congressional district. The date of the district’s general election has been set for November 5th, 2024.
