The Real Reason Aaron Rodgers and Danica Patrick Broke Up
The Real Reason Aaron Rodgers and Danica Patrick Broke Up . Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers and retired NASCAR driver Danica Patrick split up in July 2020, according to Patrick’s spokesperson. The announcement occurred two years after the couple began dating and just after Patrick hinted at a possible engagement to Rodgers.
“You can’t be connected to anything going a certain way because if you truly want something to happen, there’s that equal energy of being terrified that it won’t happen, so you just have to let it go and be like, ‘Well, am I having fun today? Yes, life is good.’ “During a November 2019 visit on Jenny McCarthy’s SiriusXM radio show, the Wisconsin native said. “I’ll probably get proposed to tomorrow now,” she continued.
Rodgers, on the other hand, was equally charmed with Patrick. “We’re just two people who love and appreciate being around each other,” he told Artful Living. “We’re head over heels in love. So there will be [social media] posts with each other since we adore each other’s company. We have a strong attraction to one other.”
So, what went wrong in the athletic couple’s relationship? Here are our thoughts on why Aaron Rodgers and Danica Patrick divorced.
The Real Reason Aaron Rodgers And Danica Patrick Broke Up
Interestingly, just four months before their split, Danica Patrick had nothing but praise for Aaron Rodgers. According to People, she responded on Instagram to a fan who asked what it’s like to date the football pro “If you want a partner who is extremely attractive, super intelligent, very thoughtful, patient (lord knows I can be stubborn), loves to travel, is open-minded, is interested in growing in this life and can ball, this is the person for you. Yes, it is quite wonderful.”

The two also visited Machu Picchu in March 2020, with the race car driver saying she “can’t wait to travel again” in an Instagram post. We’re not passing judgment, but isn’t it strange that things went from “wonderful” to splitsville in such a short period of time? Isn’t it interesting that Patrick unfollowed Rodgers on Instagram? That seems to imply that the two do not intend to remain friends, though they may reconcile when the break is no longer as new.
What’s the bottom line? Whatever transpired appeared to have happened quite suddenly. Hmm. Dating in public can be difficult. Remember Aaron Rodgers’ three-year relationship with actress Olivia Munn from 2014 to 2017? Rodgers kept his views about dating as a celebrity private throughout their romance, which makes sense.
“It’s absolutely… challenging when you’re living out a relationship in the public eye,” he told the now-defunct ESPN The Magazine in August 2017. “There are some additional limits because you have other thoughts about your relationship, how it affects your career, and just some inappropriate connections.”
So, did fan feedback play a factor in Rodgers’ breakup? The answer is possible, however, in the same interview, the athlete appeared to have made peace with dating in public. “I do want to be myself and not feel like I have to be so private,” he concluded. “Because I live in a fishbowl, I suppose you either absorb everything or you just relax and let life be.”
During their relationship, Rodgers posted a few photos of Danica Patrick on his Instagram account, indicating that he did adopt the “live or let life” mindset.
Who Gets The Malibu Mansion?
One major uncertainty surrounding the divorce is who would receive the Malibu, California, mansion Aaron Rodgers and Danica Patrick purchased in November 2019. The pair paid $28 million for the three-story, 4,636 square foot home, which includes a “huge sparkling pool,” a “breathtaking ocean vista, which is complemented by a gigantic wall of disappearing pocket doors,” and a “two-bed guesthouse and garage,” according to Variety.
The setting appears to be ideal for a proposal, however, the couple’s relationship never progressed to this point (at least that we know of). And it appears that many people were pulling for an engagement, as Green Bay Packers linebacker Za’Darius Smith told TMZ Sports in February 2020 that Rodgers should “put a ring on it.”
Patrick, of course, could have “placed a ring on it” as well. However, it’s possible that the public pressure to marry harmed the relationship, which would be understandable. In any case, at least one of them will find solace in the opulent pad. We’re envious.
Fans’ Reactions To The Separation
The breakup of Danica Patrick and Aaron Rodgers elicited a wide spectrum of opinions, particularly among football fans. The general conclusion appears to be that without a romance to distract him, Rodgers will have a better NFL season, as one user tweeted, “Sounds like a Super Bowl season to me then.” “He’s going to have [his] best season yet,” said another. “Good! He does better when he is alone! “A supporter stated.
Others, on the other hand, were more sympathetic to the ex-spouses. “I’m sorry to hear that, I thought they were cute together,” one fan expressed regret. “This is terrible,” remarked another, “I really wanted Aaron and Danica to go forever because they appeared so good together.”
