According to the Sheriff, a 22-year-old Woman Was Shot and Killed by Her Ex-boyfriend in Northwest Harris County; the Gunman Has Been Apprehended
According to Ed Gonzalez, the Harris County Sheriff, a woman the age of 22 was apparently shot and killed by her ex-boyfriend in the northwest part of the county. On Friday at 11:47 a.m., a fatal shooting was reported at an apartment building that can be found in the 8500 block of Point Park.
According to Gonzalez, the shooter, who was 28 years old, forced his way into one of the apartments while the woman was inside. According to the findings of the investigation, the man fired one shot, which resulted in the death of the woman.

It was determined that she had passed away at the site. According to local authorities, the suspect ran away from the location as soon as the incident occurred. Several hours later, a SWAT team was dispatched to an apartment complex located at 21919 Clay Road. There, they were able to make phone contact with the suspect; however, he swiftly moved to a new location.
Officers said that they were eventually successful in their search for him and were able to take him into custody in the 400 block of Independence Parkway in east Harris County.
