The Cody brothers’ run on TNT’s Animal Kingdom will come to an end with the sixth season of the show. Animal Kingdom Season 6 Release Date
TNT’s Animal Kingdom returns for its sixth season on June 19 at 9 p.m. ET/PT. On the TNT app, new episodes will be available the following day. “1992” is the name of the season opener.
What is Animal Kingdom Season 6 About?
The following is TNT’s official season 6 synopsis:
“They discover that they can’t escape their past in the final season of Animal Kingdom. A cold case investigation triggered a chain of events that put the entire family in danger as their empire grew. Six seasons of vengeance, betrayal, and coming to terms with long-forgotten violence culminate in an explosive conclusion.”

The original inspiration for Animal Kingdom came from Australia’s 2010 film of the same name which starred Jackie Weaver and Joel Edgerton and Ben Mendelsohn. Throughout its six seasons, the show has gone beyond the scope of the film.
Who’s in the Animal Kingdom Season 6 Cast?
Smurf, the matriarch of the Cody family, died in season 4, and it was a huge blow to Animal Kingdom, but her influence can still be felt even after her death. Finn Cole (who also plays Michael in The Peaky Blinders) and Shawn Hatosy, who plays Andrew “Pope” Cody, Jake Weary, who plays Deran Cody, and Ben Robson, who plays Craig Cody, will all return in the final season to conclude the saga.
