Early Life
Carrie Underwood was born in Muskogee, Oklahoma, on March 10, 1983. Checotah, a small town in rural Oklahoma, was home to her parents’ farm and her childhood. She was raised by her father, who worked at a paper mill, and her mother, who taught first grade. At the age of five, she was diagnosed with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder and prescribed Ritalin and Dexedrine, both of which she continues to take today. Carrie began her performing career as a child, appearing in church services and community talent shows. When Carrie was just 14 years old, a local fan urged her parents to fly her to Nashville so she could try out for a record deal.

Season 4 of “American Idol” was Carrie’s first time auditioning for the show, and she was accepted. Simon predicted that Carrie would win the competition and eventually outsell all other Idol contestants during her time on the show. Both of those forecasts would come to fruition. Their second child, Jacob Bryan Fisher, was born in the spring of 2019.

Spruce Ridge, Canada’s most affluent neighborhood, was purchased by Underwood & Fisher in 2010. The mansion was eventually put on the market for $2.2 million by the couple.
In March of 2020, the couple sold their 7,000-square-foot Brentwood, Tennessee, house for $1.41 million, according to public records. Brentwood, a Nashville suburb to the southwest, had been Underwood’s home since 2007. Four bedrooms, four full bathrooms, two half baths, a wet bar, a fitness center, and a tennis court are included in the property’s amenities. The house features a four-car garage, a heated marble basement, and several other conveniences, including a wine fridge and a sub-zero refrigerator.
Carrie and her family now reside in the “forever home” they designed together with their spouse (presumably with the help of a professional architect). Near Nashville, Franklin, Tennessee is the location of the house. The house sits on more than 300 acres of land, providing plenty of room for the owners’ boys, horses, and dogs to roam.
